Friday : Pick up from your Chiang Mai hotel, and head North with a luxury mini bus through beautiful mountain scenery until you reach the Karen Hill Tribe Lodge.

Lodge check in, then explore the village to see interesting Karen hill tribe activities and become familiar with your surroundings. In the evening enjoy a delicious dinner with hill tribe dancing and chat with family and friends around the camp fire, under the star lit sky.

Saturday : Wake up to the sound of birds and very often gibbon as they call each other through the trees. After a good breakfast, head off on a short jungle trail where your guide will point out many wild fruit, herbs and flowers including orchids. You reach a waterfall where you can swim in the clear water while you wait for the elephants to arrive. Enjoy the amazing experience and beautiful scenery from the back of an elephant as you ride silently through the jungle.

Lunch at the Lodge then spend the afternoon participating in one of many activities with Karen people including helping to plant rice, mushroom hunting or fishing.

In the afternoon identify and pick some fresh Thai herbs for the evening meal and learn how to cook with them. Enjoy dinner with family and friends and relax around the camp fire.

Sunday : After an early morning walk to the reservation area for Bird watching and Gibbon spotting, head back to the lodge for a great breakfast. After breakfast observe hill tribe women weaving traditional cotton cloth and pounding rice with primitive implements.

Time to head back to Chiang Mai en route stop at a National Park and visit a hot spring and waterfall. Drop off at your hotel or airport for your next destination.
